The A9 has been cleared after an early morning accident involving a bus, which caused delays on the Kessock Bridge.
Three cars were also involved in the collision north of the North Kessock turn-off on the A9 Inverness to Thurso road at around 7.45am
Nobody was injured but the accident blocked a lane of the trunk road in the Black Isle, causing major tailbacks stretching back to the Kessock Bridge during the rush hour.
The single decker bus suffered damage at both ends and was taken away on a tow truck, while two Vauxhall Vectras and a Fiat Punto were also recovered.
A police spokesman said that the road was fully reopened at around 9.45am after all of the vehicles were removed.
