The accident happened on the B9007 Duthil-Ferness road, close to the Cairngorms National Park Authority boundary, at around 12.40pm. Firefighters had to remove the driver’s side door to release the trapped woman from the vehicle, a Honda CRV, which ended up on its roof. The woman, who was the passenger in the car, was airlifted to Raigmore Hospital. The driver of the car, also a woman, was taken to the hospital by ambulance. While the exact nature of the injuries sustained by both women are not known, police have confirmed they are not life-threatening. Officers are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the accident to get in touch by calling 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
