The award-winning Culloden Battlefield Visitor Centre has become the latest victim of the severe weather.
Owners, the National Trust for Scotland (NTS), have closed the site due to storm damage.
Pictures taken at the battlefield, on the outskirts of Inverness, show that large wooden fences have been blown down.
A spokeswoman for the NTS said: “Due to storm damage Culloden is closed until further notice. We do not recommend venturing onto the battle site.”
The multimillion-pound centre sits on the site of the battle, which took place on April 16, 1746.
The clash was brief but brutal with more than 1,500 Jacobite supporters of Charles Edward Stuart killed or injured at the hands of an army loyal to the British government in just one hour.
