Inverness residents will get a chance to scrutinise Highland Council’s plans for new sports facilities in the city next week.
A public display of the Canal Parks project, which proposes reconfiguring the existing rugby pitches at the Bught Park, will be held at Inverness Leisure Centre on Tuesday, January 27, from 10am-8pm.
The shake-up is being planned to accommodate the controversial West Link road scheme.
Land used by the local rugby club and Torvean Golf Course will be required for the transport project, which will connect the A82 Inverness-Fort William road with Dores Road and create two new bridges across the Caledonian Canal and River Ness.
Members of the public can submit their comments on the proposal until February 28.
There will also be a chance to comment when the council submits a formal planning application in due course.
