The Flybe plane, with 47 passengers and an infant on board, had just landed after flying from Manchester when it crashed off the tarmac. No one was injured however the incident forced the closure of Inverness Airport for several hours. The plane was removed from the grass verge at around 1pm and was towed across the apron beside the tarmac. Two flights, including those to Amsterdam and Birmingham, were cancelled. However it is understood that flights will remain disrupted for the rest of the day.
