Police have sealed off a public footpath beside a primary school in Inverness after reports of a serious assault.
Inquiries are ongoing after a woman was allegedly attacked by two men in the Dalneigh area of the city in the early hours of this morning.
A blue police incident tent has also been installed over part of a garden beside a path which leads from the St Francis Gardens area of Dalneigh to Hawthorn Drive.
Police tape has blocked off the footpath between Dalneigh Primary School and the James Cameron Centre a popular community facility.
Uniformed officers are carrying out door-to-door inquiries and detectives have also been seen in the area.
Police said they have arrested two men aged 22 and 29 in connection with the incident.
