The outbreak of flu at the Highland’s flagship hospital is over.
Ward 7C at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness was closed on Tuesday when eight people showed signs of flu.
Another three people developed symptoms in the following few days.
But with no new cases since Thursday, NHS Highland has reopened the ward to visitors.
However an NHS spokeswoman said that anyone with symptoms of flu should postpone any planned visit to patients in the hospital.
She said: “Coming in to hospital to visit a family member or friend when you have been ill with symptoms such as those associated with flu could put them and our other patients at risk, so we would ask that you hold off visiting until you are better.”
