A public meeting in the Black Isle has fallen victim to the poor weather.
A joint ward forum for the Black Isle and Dingwall wards was due to take place in Culbokie Primary School tonight.
However the Highland Council has decided that the meeting should not go ahead because of the weather forecast.
The meeting, which was to review local police and fire plans and the council’s planning policy on windfarms, will now be rescheduled.
Councillor Isobel McCallum who was due to chair the forum said: “This has not been an easy decision to take and our apologies go to anyone who was planning to come along tonight. Public safety has to be our priority so, due to the weather conditions, we have postponed the forum until another date can be arranged.”
