Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault which happened in Inverness city centre in the early hours of Sunday morning.
A man was seriously hurt and a woman sustained minor injuries following an unprovoked attack opposite the Backpackers’ Hostels in Culduthel Road at about 12.30am.
The three people responsible are thought to be in their late 20s or early 30s.
They are described as a man with grey hair and a beard wearing a dark jacket, a man with dark hair and short beard wearing a dark hoodie, and a woman with shoulder length dark hair wearing a dark jacket.
