Two motorists escaped uninjured after a crash that closed a busy slip road near Kessock Bridge.
Traffic built up on the south carriageway of the A9 following the two-car crash near the Raigmore Interchange.
Emergency services were called to the incident on the Inverness to Perth road, which happened just before 3pm.
Police said there were no reported injuries.
A police spokeswoman said: “Around 2.50 pm on Tuesday November 15, police received a report of a two vehicle crash on the A9 near to the Raigmore Interchange, Inverness.
