A group of Loch Ness businesses have been tidying up their patch as the visitor season looms.
A litter pick organised by the South Loch Ness Tourist Group collected about 50 bags of rubbish from the road along the south shore of the beauty spot.
The annual clean-up is held between Dores and Foyers and some of the smaller roads in the area.
It is organised by John Hedger from the Pottery House in Dores who said it was a bit “dispiriting” that they have to head out each year.
He said: “We got between 40 and 50 black bags full, which is a bit dispiriting when you are out every year.
“In the past we’ve had real problems with large dumping. We’ve found everything from kitchen sinks and beds to motorboat engines, but there seems to be less of that this year.
“There’s still a lot of small things like cans and crisp bags all over the place.
“But it’s great that so many people come out because we want the place in the best shape it can be for the season starting up.”
