Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the Inshes roundabout just after 7pm following reports of a multiple-vehicle collision. A Ford Transit van and a Honda people carrier were badly damaged, which injured six occupants inside the vehicles. Two people from either car, as well as two pedestrians, were taken to Raigmore Hospital. It is understood their injuries are serious, but not life-threatening. An ambulance service spokeswoman the casualties had “varying degrees of injuries”. It appeared that both vehicles were travelling in the same direction towards the roundabout when they collided.
