Alexander Fraser, who was known as Eck, died in the accident on a single carriageway stretch of the road near Kingussie on March 19. His northbound vehicle was in collision with a southbound HGV. Mr Fraser, 50, of Inverness, was pronounced dead at the scene. Friends and family of the M&H Carriers driver, who formerly lived in Kennoway, Fife, will gather in the city on Wednesday for his funeral. The service will be held at the funeral home of William T Fraser, Culduthel Road, at 1.30pm and then Nairn Cemetery. After his death, Mr Fraser’s son, also Alex, posted a tribute on a social networking site. He said: “Everyone who knew him knows that he was always the loudest and funniest in the room.” The driver of the other vehicle, an Argos-liveried truck which was being operated by Norbert Dentressangle Logistics UK, suffered minor injuries.
