The accident took place at around 8.20pm, just south of Scrabster. Two people were involved in the accident, with one person injuring their leg. Shetland Coastguard had to be called out because the area the accident occurred was difficult to access by ambulance. The helicopter subsequently transferred the biker to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness. Another person was treated at the scene for minor cuts and bruises.
