Police are investigating a car which has been found submerged in a lock on the Caledonian Canal at Inverness. A diver noticed the car on Sunday evening as they carried out work on a moored vessel at Muirtown Locks. Initial reports suggest that the car appears to have been in place for a significant period of time. The Police Scotland Dive and Marine Unit have been contacted and will investigate later. No further information regarding the vehicle is available at this stage.
