Aberdeen Coastguard said that the Loch Ness Lifeboat was called out to help the stricken vessel, with four people on board. It broke down at the north entrance of the loch, between Dores and Lochend. But another motorcruiser was able to tow the vessel to Dochgarroch, with an escort into the Caledonian Canal from the lifeboat crew.
