Firefighters are on the scene of a house fire in the centre of Nairn this morning.
The incident was reported at 9.40am at Manse Road.
A fire services spokesman said that two fire crews from Nairn are already tackling the fire, with reports of a large amount of smoke coming from the building.
A third appliance from Inverness is also en route.
It is understood that the house was empty when the blaze started.
Meanwhile a crew from Inverness remains on the scene of a fire in Dingwall last night.
An outbuilding close to Dingwall library was completely destroyed in the blaze, which started at around 9.25am.
