Members of the public will get their chance to shape plans for a new world class golf course overlooking the Moray Firth next month.
Bosses at the Castle Stuart will reveal the initial proposals for a new 18-hole golf course beside the existing links course at a drop-in event.
Golf legend Arnold Palmer is helping to design the new venture and has previously expressed a desire to create something “iconic” for the north.
The venture offers the prospect of the Highlands having two world class golfing venues sitting side-by-side – and possibly even jointly hosting European PGA Tour events. Castle Stuart Golf Links, which opened in 2009, has already hosted the Scottish Open three times.
Highland Council planners are currently in preliminary talks with Castle Stuart before a planning application is submitted later this year.
The public event will take place on Tuesday June 16 at the Ardersier War Memorial Hall, Station Road, from 1.30pm-7.30pm.
