Christopher Beattie was reported missing from the city on May 18. Appeals were issued and officers traced him in Glasgow. And Gemma Robertson, who was separately reported missing from Inverness on Thursday, was found safe and well in the city the following day. Meanwhile, a man reported missing from Stornoway, is believed to be in the south of England. Murdo MacAskill was last seen disembarking the ferry at Ullapool at about 4.45pm on Tuesday May 12, after travelling from Stornoway. Police say there has been no sighting of the 54-year-old since and he has not been in touch with any known friends or family. Stornoway officers are conducting inquiries to see if he may be in London, where he has spent time in the past. However officers now believe Mr MacAskill is in the Newquay area He is described as being white, 5ft 9in tall and slim with short brown hair. When last seen he was wearing trousers, possibly jeans, a dark jacket and was carrying a backpack. He speaks with a west of Scotland accent.
