A north airport boss has been recognised for his outstanding customer service work in a national awards ceremony.
Callum Smith, Inverness Airport duty manager, was runner up in the Hospitality Assured Champion of the Year awards held in London this week by the Institute of Hospitality.

This week it was Callum’s turn to be rewarded for his efforts, coming second in the race for the prestigious category which attracted entries from across the UK.
As airport duty manager, he is responsible for many of the customer facing aspects of the airport operation including security, terminal facilities management, including the airport’s award winning toilets, car parking and services for passengers with restricted mobility.
Graeme Bell, Inverness Airport general manager, said: “We are absolutely delighted for Callum, who is a valuable member of the airport team and a wonderful ambassador for the airport, a familiar and welcoming face for passengers.
“He deserves this award for all of his hard work over the years. We’re proud of him.”
Callum said: “I’m really pleased to have received this award on behalf of Inverness Airport. I’m part of a fantastic team of dedicated professionals who work hard to put our passengers first.
