A car and a 4×4 were involved in the accident, which happened near Daviot just before 2.30pm. A police spokesman said that the drivers of both vehicles were being taken to Raigmore Hospital. Both were out of their vehicles when emergency services arrived and the spokesman said they were not believed to have suffered serious injuries. The Inverness-Thurso road is blocked southbound on the dual carriageway section of the road. A diversion is place for smaller vehicles via Moy but larger vehicles, such as HGVs, are being asked to queue on the trunk road.
