Police are appealing for information after a man was caught trying to break into an Inverness home.
The incident happened in the early hours of Tuesday, June 16 at a house in Broom Drive in Inverness.
Police said that a man was found attempting to open the door of the house.
On being confronted by the householder the suspect left but it is not know what direction he travelled.
He is described as being around 5ft 8in in height, medium build and short black hair and wearing dark clothing.
A police spokeswoman said: “Police would appeal to anyone with information on this incident or who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area to contact police on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
