Music lovers can look forward to a special warm up event ahead of this year’s Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival.
The Netsounds Unknown Pleasures gig will take place at the Ironworks venue in Inverness on July 31 and will feature acts who are appearing at the festival.
Six emerging local bands will be showcased at the event which is designed to get revellers in the mood for this year’s superhero themed festival on August 6-8 near Beauly.
Appearing will be the hip-hop and folk funk band, Spring Break, along with Iain McLaughlin and the Outsiders and their alternative rock sounds.
Other performances will include Inverness four-piece indie-rock band Silver Coast, Sara Bills and the Hasbeens, soloist James Mackenzie and Black Isle band The Rites.
There will also be a chance to win a pair of tickets to Belladrum during the gig.
Joe Gibbs, owner of Belladrum estate, said: “For those who haven’t managed to get hold of a ticket to Belladrum this year, this is a great opportunity to check out some of the finest local talent appearing at the festival, and for those who do have tickets the perfect warm up with The Ironworks helping everyone get in the festival mood.”
Tickets for the event are £5 and available in person from Ironworks or via Ticketmaster, and doors will open at 7.30pm.
