Picture by Sandy McCook A number of roads in and around Inverness have been plunged into chaos today after a Caledonian Canal swing bridge jammed. The Tomnahurich swing bridge on the A82 became jammed in the open position this afternoon, with canal engineers working to resolve the issue. The problems meant long traffic queues in a number of routes, particularly the city’s Glenurquhart Road While on the water cruise boats were also forced to queue to pass through the bridge.
