Two appliances went to a semi-detached, two-storey property following the 999 call at 1.07pm. Firefighters used breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet and extinguished the blaze by about 1.40pm. A fire service spokeswoman said that fire was contained to one bedroom on the first floor and confirmed that no one was hurt in the fire.
