Three people have been taken to hospital with leg injuries after a head-on road accident near Loch Ness.
The A82 Inverness to Fort William road was blocked for around two hours after the collision between two cars at Alltsigh, near the Loch Ness Youth Hostel.
The accident happened just after 10am and the road was closed while the two cars were recovered.
A spokesman for the ambulance service confirmed that three people were taken to Raigmore Hospital suffering from leg injuries.
Their injuries are not thought to be serious. Another person escaped without injury.
A crew of firefighters from Drumnadrochit attended the scene and helped paramedics remove the injured people from the car.
A further fire crew from Fort Augustus and the heavy rescue unit from Inverness were also stood down before reaching the scene.
The air ambulance helicopter was also called to attend but was also stood down before it arrived.
