Inverness businesses are to be updated on progress for a £3million package for upgrading the city centre.
Members of Inverness Chamber of Commerce have been invited to hear from Stuart Black, Highland Council’s director of development and infrastructure next week about progress.
A business case is being developed for submission to the treasury to spend the £3million on two city centre projects – improvements to the grounds of Inverness Castle and public access WiFi.
The projects could form the first part of the mooted £300million City Deal for Inverness.
Chamber members will hear an update from Mr Black followed by an open discussion about priorities for the city centre from a business perspective.
The meeting will be held between 5pm and 7pm on Tuesday, August 18 and chamber members are asked to book their places ahead of the event.
