Police are searching for a man after a group of young children were approached in an Inverness park.
The incident happened in Bellfield Park today, at about 11.30am.
Police received a report that several young children who were playing in the park when the man approached them and spoke to them.
Officers would like to speak to the man in order to establish the circumstances of the contact.
He is described as Asian, in his mid 50s to 60s, and of average build. He was wearing a blue cap and grey suit at the time.
Detective Sergeant Steven MacKenzie said: “It appears there was no attempt by the man to encourage the children to leave the park at any time but we would, nevertheless, like to speak to the man in order to satisfy ourselves that the contact was innocuous.
“We would like to hear from anyone who was in the park today and has any information. Similarly if you think you might be the person in question, then we would be grateful if you could get in touch.”
