Firefighters spent three hours battling a blaze at an Inverness house on Saturday.
The fire broke out at a semi-detached house on Carnac Crescent, Merkinch, shortly before 8am.
Four fire crews battled for three hours to extinguish the fire, which started in the kitchen.
Two people are understood to have been assessed by paramedics for smoke inhalation.
Firefighters called to Inverness fire
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was first notified about the fire at 7.47am.
Three appliances from Inverness were dispatched to the scene.
A fourth appliance from Dingwall also attended.
Firefighters worked for almost three hours to extinguish the blaze, before the stop message was received at 10.39 am.
Merkinch rallies to support family in need
Neighbours, friends and strangers alike have rallied around the residents.
Members of Merkinch Primary Parent Council issued a statement on social media appealing for support, alongside the picture of a handwritten list of essentials.
They wrote: “Ladies and gents, a family has suffered from a house fire in the early hours of this morning.
“We have a list of items that they are in need of. Essentially clothes and toiletries at the moment. Anything that can help would be great please show your support.”
