The man, who is in his 40s, fell around 15ft onto the boat while working in the Port of Inverness on Friday afternoon. He suffered suspected head injuries in the fall and was taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness by ambulance. This morning a police spokesman said that the casualty was in a “serious but stable condition” in hospital. It is understood that the man fell onto Barbados registered cargo vessel the Wilson Caen while working in the area. It is believed that the man is an employee of the Ellon-based firm William Whyte Cargo Handling..
