The victim was left with injuries to his ear after the incident on Bridge Street on Friday. Officers now want to hear from witnesses to the assault, which took place opposite the Town House between 2.30am and 3am. One of the men involved is described as about 5ft 5in, stocky build with dark hair. He was wearing a white t-shirt. The second man is described as tall and thin with dark hair, and wearing a red t-shirt. Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information is urged to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
