The work of NHS Highland will go under the microscope in a week’s time in Caithness.
The health board will undergo its annual review by Health Secretary Shona Robison.
The public event will be held on Monday, September 7 at Wick Assembly Rooms at 1.30pm.
The board has had a testing year, after senior executives were hauled before the Scottish Parliament’s public audit committee to answer questions about its financial management.
There have also been ongoing problems with recruitment of staff to a range of medical posts across the region.
At the start of the month, junior doctor training at Caithness General Hospital had to be suspended after a locum consultant quit her post.
It will also be the last annual review for chairman Garry Coutts, who steps down from his post next year.
Members of the public are being encouraged to attend and submit questions to be answered on the day of the review.
The event will also be filmed on a live webcast.
Anyone wishing to attend the event, or who wants to submit a question, should contact Maimie Thompson at maimie.thompson@nhs.net or by calling 01463 704 722. Alternatively, contact Kenny Oliver at kenny.oliver@nhs.net or 01463 717123.
