Model armies will be out in force on Saturday at Culloden.
The site of the last battle on British soil attracts wargaming and modelling enthusiasts from all over Scotland every year for the event, which is now in its fourth year.
Entrants will compete for the Cuil Lodair award for the best gaming table, with a prize of £200 on offer.
A number of mini-games and events will also be held throughout the day, with a painting contest and other challenges.
Guided tours of the battlefield itself will also be available.
Entry to the wargames event is free, although normal admission charges apply to the National Trust for Scotland visitor centre.
The trust will also be running weapons demonstrations and worskhops by guides in period costume.
