Plans for the first Black Isle Brewery bar in Inverness have taken another step forward after councillors granted an alcohol license to the premises yesterday.
The award-winning company want to open a pub, complete with rooftop beer garden on Church Street.
Members of the Highland licensing board granted permission for the bar to open between 11am until 1am each day of the week.
The first floor rooftop garden will have a 9pm cut-off to prevent public nuisance as there are residential properties on the street.
A noise management plan will also have to be submitted to the council and councillors are recommended to consider enforcing a condition that doors and windows should be kept closed if live or recorded music is played.
The bar will be opened in the former Caring and Sharing charity shop on the corner of Church Street and Post Office Lane.
The brewery submitted plans for the conversion early this year, which was also recently approved.
