Motorists face disruption on the outskirts of Inverness next week when essential works take place as part of the West Link project.
Highland Council’s contractors, MM Miller, will be installed service ducts across the A82 Inverness-Fort William road at Bught Road and Bught Drive.
The works will take place overnight on Monday and all day on Tuesday.
The council is warning that delays are to be expected at the morning peak period on Tuesday.
Commuters are asked to allow extra time for their journeys and consider using General Booth Road as an alternative route.
A second operation for a duct crossing, just east of the Bught Drive junction with Glenurquhart Road, will start on the morning of Sunday October 18 and finish temporarily, late that evening.
It will restart on Monday October 19 at 7.30am with work expected to be complete that afternoon.
A council spokeswoman said: “Every effort has been made to minimise the traffic management for these works and we would thank people for their patience and for motorists to avoid this route, if at all possible for these short periods.”
