An investigation has been launched after two reports of a man acting suspiciously in an Inverness housing estate.
Police have received two separate reports of a man acting suspiciously in the Woodside Terrace in Raigmore, near Loch Court and Kyle Court.
He was first reported to police during the evening of Tuesday, October 13.
Police received a second report in the early hours of this morning.
The man is not reported to have approached anyone in either incident but police are keen to speak to the man or anybody who may have seen him in the area.
Acting Chief Inspector Alex Chisholm said: “The man reported to us has been described as approximately 5ft 6in in height, of average build and shoulder length hair.
“He was seen to be wearing a long black coat, dark trousers and in one report, a black cowboy hat.
“Local officers have been carrying out high visibility patrols in the area to provide reassurance to members of the public.
“It should be noted that whilst the matter may be innocuous, we are treating this seriously and officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen someone in the vicinity who matches the man’s description.
