Police are dealing with a serious road accident in Nairn
The A96 has been closed in Nairn after an accident involving a lorry and two pedestrians.
Emergency services are currently at the scene of the accident which happened at the junction of the Inverness to Aberdeen main road and Leopold Street just after 3.30pm.
A police spokeswoman said that two pedestrians had suffered “serious injuries” in the accident.
The main road is currently closed with local diversions being put in place.
However, these are not suitable for HGVs and buses.
