Fire crews were called to a serious two vehicle crash on the A96 this morning.

The crash between a white Citroen van and a Silver Renault Clio happened at the Balloch junction, heading toward Inverness.

Emergency services received the call at 7:10am.

Two people have been taken to hospital following the smash, but the severity of their injuries is not yet known.

Reports are coming in of delays of up to 45 minutes but the road is now clear and the vehicles are being recovered.
