An investigation has been launched after a 12-year-old boy was approached by a man on an Inverness street.
Police have said they received a report of the boy being spoken to by the male van driver on Strathspey Place in the Milton of Leys area.
The incident is alleged to have happened at about 6.45pm on Thursday, November 5.
Police said the boy made his intention to leave and the vehicle continued on its way.
The driver is described as being between 30 and 40-years-old, of heavy build, with dark hair with a bald spot towards the front.
His van was believed to be blue and was towing a silver trailer.
A spokesman for the force said: “Police Scotland would seek to reassure the public that extensive inquiries have been carried out into the matter and these remain ongoing at this time.
“Police would like to speak to the driver of the van and would also appeal to anyone who may have been in the area at the time of have any information relevant to the inquiry.”
