A man was banned from consuming alcohol for two years at Inverness Sheriff Court yesterday.
Kyle Brandie, 23, of 56 Assynt Road, Inverness, appeared for sentence after admitting shouting and swearing and uttering an offensive racist remark to a policeman in an Inverness police station on July 8 this year.
His solicitor, Neil Wilson said: “He is a young man in the grip of an addiction. He is plainly in need of help with his alcohol problem.”
Sheriff David Sutherland sentenced Brandie to 150 hours of unpaid work, ordered him to be under social work supervision for two years and banned him from drinking from that period
