The driver sustained serious injuries in the one vehicle collision on the northbound dual carriageway of the A9 Inverness to Perth road near Tomatin. The incident happened on Sunday, December 6. The man, who was driving a silver Ford Fiesta, sustained serious injuries and was taken initially to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness. He was transferred to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow where he remains. A police spokesman yesterday described his condition as stable and said the man is conscious. However, he is likely to remain in hospital for some time to come for further treatment.
