Just one day after an 11 car pile up and inferno on the A9 at Munlochy Junction, reports are coming in of a multi car crash on the same bit of road.
Three people were hospitalised after the crash, which shut the road for two hours this morning with a diversion in operation on the A832 Old Beauly Road.
An ambulance service spokesperson confirmed that two victims of the crash has been taken to hospital with suspected leg fractures and head injuries and that a third person had been taken to Raigmore Inverness with minor injuries as a precaution.
At the time of the crash a police spokesperson said: “Emergency services are in attendance but there are not thought to be any serious injuries.
“Drivers are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible as there will be a delay until recovery is complete.”
Another police Scotland spokesperson added: “That stretch of road is bad for glare from the sun.
“It hangs low and people loose concentration and their vision suffers.”

The A9 at the Munlochy Junction is now fully open following the crash.
