A city centre street which has been closed since the New Year will be reopened in the next few weeks.
Highland Council have confirmed that Huntly Street will reopen for southbound traffic as the flood defence work moves on to the next phase.
A drop-in session is being held by Highland Council for members of the public to view plans for traffic in the city centre next week.
The changes to traffic management around the flood scheme work will include banning traffic turning left at the end of Huntly Street onto Ness Bridge.
This is to avoid motorists using Huntly Street as a rat-run to the city centre and creating traffic jams at the bridge.
A number of new parking spaces will also be created around the area, with 11 pay and display spaces to be created between Celt Street and Greig Street.
A further nine spaces will be made available after 6pm in designated loading bays outside Highland House of Fraser and Balnain House.
The public will be consulted on the plans at an exhibition at the Methodist Church, Huntly Street on Thursday, May 22 between 4pm and 7pm.
