Police are investigating after the middle-aged woman, who lived alone, was discovered in the kitchen of her home in Kintail Court. This morning, police would only say that the incident was being treated as unexplained. Neighbours said they saw an ambulance at the address on Thursday. A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “It is being treated as unexplained at the moment.” But the tragic history of her home came to light yesterday. In July 2006, Brian Grant, 50, murdered Ilene O’Connor and hid her body in his garden – at 5 Kintail Court – before going on the run. Miss O’Connor, 39, of 2 Castle Heather Road, Inverness, was missing for two weeks before police discovered her body. Her injuries included brain damage, 26 rib fractures and a smashed breast bone. Grant hoped recent gardening work would allow him to cover his tracks as he buried her in a shallow grave. Forensic teams at the scene in 2006 Forensics at the scene in 2006
