The funerals of two teenagers killed in a road crash near Inverness will both take place next week.
Services for John Foggo, 18, and Georgia Gilham, 16, will take place on successive days.
They were both passengers in a Vauxhall Corsa which was involved in a collision with another car on the B9006 Inverness to Croy on Thursday, March 24.
The funeral service for Mr Foggo of Ferry Brae in North Kessock will be held at the village’s lifeboat station from 1pm and aftewards to Tore Cemetery.
His mother Louise described the service as a “farewell” for the apprentice mechanic.
She said: “All friends are welcome.
“Boilersuits are optional but are encouraged. John was hardly ever out of his.
“This is a celebration of a life lived to the full.”
Donations if desired are asked to go to the special baby care unit at Raigmore Hospital and the RNLI station at North Kessock.
The funeral for fifth-year Culloden Academy pupil Miss Gilham of Birchwood Terrace, Inverness, will then take place on Thursday, April 7 at the funeral home of William T Fraser and Son on Culduthel Road.
She is described as “dearly loved by all the family and to countless friends”.
The funeral will be held at the funeral home from 12pm and thereafter to Inverness Crematorium.
Flowers are invited, as are donations to the Scottish SPCA and Munlochy Animal Aid.
Friends and family have donated more than £4,000 to an online appeal set up to help Miss Gilham’s funeral costs.
A separate fundraiser has collected more than £2,400 which will go towards completing a Toyota Starlet which Mr Foggo had been working towards getting back on the road.
Two other teenagers were seriously injured in the collision, while two people who were in a white Mercedes also involved escaped without injury.
Following the incident Inspector Ian Graham said the force’s thoughts were with the two families of the deceased and appealed for anyone with information relating to the crash to contact police on 101.
