Two Peppa Pig parties have helped raise nearly £1,000 for a cancer charity to help a Highland family take a welcome holiday.
The popular children’s character visited 100 lucky youngsters and their parents at the Frankie and Lolas soft play centre in Inverness.
Both parties were held with the aim of raising funds for CLIC Sargent, which supports young people with cancer and their families.
As well as delighting the youngsters, the parties raised £943.78 towards the charity.
The money will go towards a week’s break for a family from the Highlands at CLIC Sargent’s holiday home at Prestwick on the Ayrshire coast.
Lisa Lugton, joint owner of Frankie and Lolas with husband Jason, said: “We are delighted that our customers have helped us support CLIC Sargent so well in their mission to give every child who is supported by CLIC Sargent the right to the best possible treatment, care, and support, throughout their cancer journey and beyond.”
The north’s CLIC Sargent area fundraiser, Peter Logie, added: “Lisa and Jason put an enormous amount of effort in to deliver two really top-notch events for the young Peppa Pig fans.
“Their fundraising was very special by coming in to work on their days off and their wonderful staffs have volunteered their time to maximise what can be raised for CLIC Sargent and our work with children and young people with cancer in Inverness and the Highlands.
“This is a great amount of money to raise and a sum like this is enough to provide a week’s holiday for a Highland family in our beautiful, big holiday house at Prestwick.
“This will usually be their first holiday in about 12 months or more after diagnosis and a chance to relax, mix with other families and be looked after in a very safe, friendly environment.”
