Police have warned people not to attend an illegal rave planned to take place in Inverness this evening.
Police chiefs have told people to stay away – saying organisers have not sought permission from land owners to hold the event.
Chief Inspector Colin Gough said: “Our main priority is to ensure public safety and to prevent crime.
“The organisers of the planned rave do not have permission from the land owners to use the site and have not sought the relevant licences from the local authority.
“We have been in contact with the land owner of the site where the rave is potentially being held and will have resources in the area to assist with preventing illegal access. Anyone planning to attend the rave should be aware that you may be committing a criminal offence and we will deal with any criminality robustly.
“We are asking the public to report any suspicious behaviour to us and advising farmers and landowners to be aware that people looking to hold an illegal rave may be operating in the area and as such should ensure that property and outbuildings are secure.”
