A Stagecoach spokeswoman confirmed the incident yesterday, saying: “Paramedics attended one of our buses this morning after a passenger was taken ill on board.”
The identity of the man was not known last night.

The bus service did not continue following the sudden death, with Stagecoach announcing on social media that the 7.33am service from Keith to Inverness had been cancelled due to a “medical emergency”.
The knock-on impact of the emergency caused disruption to services between the Highland capital and Granite City throughout the day.
The 10.25am Inverness to Aberdeen bus started its journey from Nairn Bus Station at 10.55am as a result of the incident.
The late running on the route also led to the 2.45pm service from Aberdeen to Inverness leaving 20 minutes later than planned.
Stagecoach apologised for the inconvenience caused to passengers on the busy route yesterday.
Meanwhile, a “mechanical issue” with a bus led to the 10.06am 26A service from Cromarty to Inverness being unable to operate.
The 5.45pm X17 service from Aberdeen to Westhill and Elrick circular left the city 10 minutes late due to a “technical fault”.
