A member of the public reported seeing a man and a woman who appeared to be arguing beside the A862 Inverness to Beauly at about 1.40pm yesterday. The two were standing beside a white Ford Transit van between Inchmore and Monaick. A police spokeswoman said the force is “concerned for the welfare of the female as she may have been victim of an assault”. The woman is described is being tall, standing about 6ft, with brown hair and wearing dark clothing. The man is described as being about 5ft 10in and of heavy build. He was wearing a black baseball cap. The police spokeswoman added: “If anyone has any information about this incident, please contact Police Scotland on 101.”
