The Kessock inshore lifeboat and a coastguard rescue team from Inverness have been called to investigate the find near Inverness. Aberdeen Coastguard – which is coordinating the search efforts – said it had been informed just after 4.30pm. A spokesman for the coastguard said: “We have tasked a lifeboat at North Kessock, Inverness, to investigate a report of a canoe on the Beauly Firth.”
